Bought a Z750S after 2 years on an ER-5. what a difference. Beautiful looking bike, Fast as hell, and still returns 55-60 mpg on the motorway, and around 45-50 in town. Cornering is very responsive. Only down sides are the hard seat which gets uncomfortable after an hour or so although the riding position is generally good, I'm 6'2" and dont go for the full sportsbike riding position. The mirrors vibrate at speed, but not really a problem as you can only see your own arms in them anyway. Overall, an excellent intro to sportsbikes

Good all round fun bike; only downsides are that the seat can be a bit uncomfortable when 2 up and mirrors vibrate when I go too fast. Other than that well worth the money.

Ok, so lets start with the first impression.

Streetfighers need to look 'brutish' if they are going to hack it and they don't come much more aggressively styled than the Z750. The wide, angular tank holds about 18 litres and the sharp headlight cowl compliments the overall shape of the bike whilst giving reasonable wind protection even on the wrong side of the speed limit! The tail section is equally stylish and finishes off the bike beautifully.

This is a middleweight, naked bike that will cut down your insurance premium but still deliver an adrenalin rush whenever you wind open the twistgrip.

The 'Zed' is actually a joy to ride thanks to a combination of responsive power and lightweight handling. Class-leading engine performance comes from a 748cc liquid-cooled in-line four with electronic fuel injection.

The power delivery provides excellent torque over a broad rev range so that you can make the best of the six gears and it gives instant cold starting, smooth throttle response, good fuel economy and low exhaust emissions. A large, Z1000 radiator eliminates the need for an oil cooler.

Simple twin-pot calipers squeeze the speed out of the twin 300mm front discs. A single pot caliper and 220mm disc steadies the back end.

Downsides for me are minimal, the seat is angled downward so you do find after 30 minutes or so that your genitals are resting on the tank and there is a fair buzz of vibration through the footpegs at about 80 - 85 mph. Both of these can be fairly easily solved.

Overall I think it's an excellent bike, great styling, loads of torque, superb power delivery, ample stopping power and handles like a dream.

One word of warning tho . . .it may make a hooligan out of you!!

Fantastic looking bike, very muscular and beautiful Very similar to Z1000 in fact could be its baby bro!
100 bhp as standard but for more thrills add a power commander- Handles well, corners are where it comes into it's own, however if you ride hard you will need to sort the suspension as the front a
bit too soft and rear too hard and even tweaking the 4 step adjustment aint gonna make much difference.
Brakes ok as standard, but ugrade if you have the dosh, also a flyscreen is probably a good idea as windblast over 70mph can be tough on your neck, so this will make for more comfortable riding over distances.
Standard cans not too bad looking - but save your pennies and get Akrapovics on - WOW now thats how a bike should sound!
Clocks and display rather tasty but the digital rev counter hard to see in direct sunlight- (Good excuse when old plod pull you)
If you want a good all rounder this is the bike for you, can do it all, from being a reliable commuter to a fun filled machine when let loose on the twistys.
