I have a 2002 RS50, all i have done is stuck an Arrow exhaust on it and it does 68mph. I'm planning to get a big bore 80cc kit for it in the future and keep it until i'm 17 when I can get a 600cc without any insurance problems. (On the island I live on you can get a 50cc at 14 and a 125cc at 16 and move onto anything at 17.) When my cousin had the bike before me, he got 70mph down a hill de-restricted, everything else was standard, though I dont believe him as it goes slower now with my full Arrow exhaust. (Though he did stack it many times unfortunately), so far after a year of riding I have never lost to another 50cc bike in any sort of race.

I have a 2004 ZX6R, my younger brother has an RS125 de-restricted. On the way back from a long ride we pulled in at a services for a break. He asked me if he could ride my bike some of the way home. I was reluctant, but after being on the RS125 on the twisty roads for about 20 minutes I was hooked! The two stroke delivers very predictable power and corners better than most sports bikes on the planet! If it was a dog it would be a terrier: Not the strongest, or biggest but a surprising amount of attitude

Well! I have only just bought this bike this evening....and I've got to say its a great looking 50cc,but I do think its still restricted. I don't know how to de-restrict it....There does'nt seem to be anything in the exhaust system either. if any one knows of the restrictions then please tell me as it would be much appricated. Thanks.

i brought a m reg rs125 its a dream smokes any 125 on the road never overheats much better than the newer models done 35000 miles still running amazingly is a bit slugish when tring to keep at slow speeds even smoke a suzuki 250cc at the lights aprilias love the open road!!!!!

this bike is exptionally fast for a fifty and looks very good but their are sum small bad points to em like they need 2 be started every once in a while or the battery will go flat, the last point is you cant start without using the choke which isint to bad but it just makes more work. my advice 2 getting an rs50 is dont buy anything over 3 yrs old and try not 2 get anything with 2 much millage,
