I bought my nephew this bike for £1100 and he was really pleased with it. The Aprilia RX 50 reaches a good speed of about 60mph with the restrictor removed. At the beginning the RX started well every time but now he is finding a few issues with it as it doesn’t start well and he has had loads of problems with the electrics. The electrical problems with this Aprilia seem to be endless, you get them fixed and it rains and they fail again.

The bike rides well but its reliability is somewhat disappointing.

THIS BIKE DOES NOT HIT %% MPH LOOK CLOSELY THE DIAL IS IN KPH 55kph in MPH is 30 ALL 50CC BIKES ARE LIMITED TO 30 MPH ANY THAT ARE NOT ARE ILLEGAL

i brought my rx 50 2 weeks ago it looked awesome! but today went off roading and got wet now wont run anyone got any ideas? good performance does about 55mph which is faster than most scooters!

Got my RX50 with only 1000 miles for £1300. Very nice handling bike and feels much taller thn most 50cc. Goes about 55 mph, or 60 down a fat hill. To the other post, if yours is going 65 mph its already de-resticted so you dont need to do that. Best 50 but expensive, if ya ain\'t got money to spend get a TS50.

this bike is one of the fastest 50cc bikes that i have rode .i have got it to 70mph and the only mod i have is a v6 sports exaust .i would recomend this bike to anyone who is a first time buyer

Well! I have only just bought this bike this evening....and I've got to say its a great looking 50cc,but I do think its still restricted. I don't know how to de-restrict it....There does'nt seem to be anything in the exhaust system either. if any one knows of the restrictions then please tell me as it would be much appricated. Thanks.

had my aprilia about 6 months my dads friend gave it me and it is in superb nick for a t redge, only problem is it wont tick over u have to keep the revs on, anybody know what is wrong with it? everyone tells me its the mixture screw but i cant seem to find it can anyone point me in the right direction? email me at oli_ov_heaton@hotmail.co.uk if you can cheers!

This bike is great. I do a lot of of motox so this bike is perfect for me. Despite being only a 50cc it goes all right, but I would like it to go faster. It handles well and takes off road tracks really well, so I'm always doing a bit of green laning. It does 50 in 5th then doesnt really go anywhere in 6th. I've been told its not derestriced but im not sure. Can any 1 recommend an exhuast or any other mod for this bike.

I bought my 12 year old daughter an RX for christmas. At first, because she had a Beta 50 auto it was a bit big. but 2 hours on it and she's off. I have had quite a few off roaders and I love it. It is quite nippy and responsive for a mere fizz even with 15 stone of me on it. With my kid on it, the RX flies. It looks good for its size and has so far not let her down.I like it and it is big enough to last her a while yet (until she is good enough and gets pissed off doing 50 mph at full bore), which i suspect if she is owt like me, won't be long!
