I owned an 02 Busa bought for me by the wife. I really loved that bike but found it uncomfortable to tour on (I have a bad knee injury)but in 08 I bought another Busa I just love their power but could not get comfortable so sold it.
I now own a B-King and it's fantastic especially at £7k brand new. I love the looks of the bike and would like a slightly noiser can but do not want to change it's looks so I purchased an exhaust on Ebay and had the internals reworked, it now has a nice growl without being offensive and still looks original. If your looking for something special easy to ride and comfy you've got to try one.

NEW MOTORBIKE REVIEW - SUZUKI B-KING
B-KING GETS AN A
* What’s It All About?
It’s relatively easy for any of the leading bike manufacturers to dream up an outlandishly-styled concept model to whip up public interest at a motor show. Whether these flights of fancy can or should then be put into series production is another matter entirely. It’s all too easy for a manufacturer to start believing its own hype in these cases, submitting to the public clamour for a version of the concept that they can buy. Invariably, though, the very people doing most of the clamouring disappear when the time comes to place that deposit.
Suzuki’s B-King is an example of a concept bike that has made it into production but the fact that Suzuki have taken six years to get it there suggests that some serious thought has gone into the project. The radical styling of the Suzuki B-King concept has been retained in the production version but the supercharged engine didn’t make the cut. One suspects that few will miss it unduly, because power is now supplied by a version of the 1,340cc unit that takes pride of place in the 2008 Hayabusa. With 181bhp, this is the most powerful naked street bike on the market.
* What Does It Cost?
£9,000 is the price your Suzuki dealer will quote you for a B-King and people will take them up on it simply because of that headline power output. In real world conditions, this kind of grunt is almost wholly unusable but the bit you can use is enough to justify the price tag on its own. You’re also getting massive street presence so even people with no idea of what the Suzuki B-King is, will instantly form the impression that it’s a serious piece of kit.
* How Does It Handle?
The Suzuki B-King marshals all that power very efficiently staying composed and manageable even when you do give it the gas. At that point, the acceleration is devastating and once you’ve got over the initial shock, it will have you laughing out loud behind your visor. A slick gearchange and accurate steering enhance the riding experience further and on the road you can sail around on the massive wave of torque produced by this remarkable engine.
* Verdict
Naked bikes don’t come any quicker than this and the Suzuki B-King has looks that leave you in no doubt about just how capable it is. It lacks the raw, aggressive edge of a focused sports bike but still handles adeptly. It’s real strength though, is the way it remains such a capable and manageable companion, even after you tweak that throttle…

How lucky am I? No socks, pants or hankies for me this year. My fantastic Fiancee bought me a B-King!!! Even managed to keep the whole thing a surprise until Christmas Morning as well!!! Anyhow, getting down to business. The first thing that strikes anyone about the 'King is the size and styling. It's a real marmite bike, you either love it or hate it. The only thing I'm not sure about is the stock cans, just look too big and way too quiet for the look of the bike. The size is immense, it's like sitting on a horse, but the weight is carried very low down, so it doesn't feel like 240kg when it's off the stand.
Turn the key and the digital dash does a funky little dance and displays 'B-King' across the screen. A prod of the button and the engine bursts into life. I hadn't heard one running until I started mine up and, to be honest, it's a bit of a disappointment. The bike looks awesome (in my opinion) and the cans are just too quiet. Imagine Brian Blessed with the voice of Joe Pasquale.
Get it moving and it's amazing, so much power and torque at any revs in any gear. The weight disappears as soon as it's on the move and it hustles like a sports bike. Handling is fantastic, plenty of feel and the shove from the 1340cc motor is grin inducing.
Minor niggles - the throttle cables totally obscure the GPI (Gear Position Indicator) don't use it anyway, but if it's there I'd like to be able to see it. The mirror arms are about half an inch too short, so you can get a great view of your arms, but not what's behind you. If I were any taller (6'1") then riding it would be a real problem due to the bolt on bits on the side of tank. As it is, my knees fit snugly under them on each side, any taller/longer legged and I'd have real problems changing gear without moving my entire leg. Lastly, tank range is very average, even ridden conservatively there's barely 100 miles worth of juice.
Everything else is absolutely spot on, brakes are fabulous front and rear, plenty of power and feel, seat is comfy and riding position is great. Plenty of toys to keep you occupied with various functions and read-outs available on the digital dash. The dual power switch is useful, you can definitely feel a softer power curve in 'B' mode for a bit of added confidence in the wet, or you can just do what riders have been doing since the dawn of Motorcycling, adjust your riding to suit the conditions!
As far as I'm concerned, the 'King easily lives up to the hype.
