I bought this scooter second hand about 6 months ago because I was starting a new job in Central London, and as far as I'm concerned it's still the best way to get in and out of the City - on two wheels. I spent a long time reviewing lots of scooters after having owned most mainstream makes over the years. I chose a Honda because of the built quality and reliability, and as most Italian models seem to have the electrics put together by someone's very young Amazon dwelling cousin it was very refreshing to actually turn the key, press the start button and have the engine roar into life - first time, every time!

I was going to buy a Dylan but a Pantheon came up for about the same price and I'm very glad it did. The comfort is second to none (I used to have a Yamaha Majesty 250 and that was close), I get about 170 miles from £10 of petrol on busy roads and it has a cavernous storage area under the seat. One thing I still find eerily brilliant about this scooter is its balance - It's amazing!

Overall, I can't really fault this scooter except I'd like a little more power - but then again it is only a 125 and reaches a steady 65mph without any trouble or undue noise. If you're looking for a two person scooter that's not as big and cumbersome as most and is just as nippy as those hairdryer types the local 16 year old's ride then this is the one for you.

Honda FES 125

The Honda FES Pantheon 125 I rate highly because it
is comfortable ,reliable and well built. Big under seat storage area is another plus with this model.
The mpg is brilliant giving over 100+ MPG, the daily commute is so easy on this machine. I especially like the look of the Pantheon the front light and plastics are better than other manufacturers.

Honda FES125

The Honda FES125 2000 series does not have a light in the bonnet. it is a good sturdy bike and has plenty of room for storage. is also good on the motorways as can get up to over 70mph very easily.

The only thing I don't like about this bike is the light inside the bonnet as sometime if you are not careful and you place your helmet inside it accidentally switch the light on and if you don't close the bonnet correctly, and you leave it in that condition over the weekend your battery will go flat.
Otherwise it is a fantastic machine

First time powered two-wheeler for me (at age 58!). Gained CBT and this seemed to offer lots of things that suited what I wanted - storage space, comfort, fuel economy (and reduced carbon footprint!), ease of use and protection (relatively speaking) from the elements. Also, a machine to cut one's teeth on and gain confidence. It does about 100 mpg, is nippy on those occasions when needed (approaching roundabouts, etc with gap available ahead). Although it has never, ever, failed to start, I have noticed that it won't always start first or even second time, but that might not be construed as a fault so much as an inconvenience. As a commuting vehicle I cannot fault it and would certainly recommend it to anyone thinking of venturing onto two wheels. As scooters go it is probably quite a large, heavy beast but it is very positive in its handling and enjoyable to ride whether on the straight or windy road and will do 60+ (on test it did 60+ uphill with two up!) and feel fairly stable when doing so. Maybe this aspect is only transitional, but I get a real buzz from just clothing up and setting off on this scooter. I haven't had any services undertaken yet, but rumour has it that they can be a little expensive. Nevertheless, I don't regret having purchased this scooter, it has received lots of approving comments and I absolutely love it. I had initially wanted a Honda Shadow 125 and although that holds a greater 'street cred' amongst the greater biking community, this feller has plently of its own virtues. It is certainly a lot more comfortable and easier to ride than the CG-125 that I took my test on!

purchased this bike from new.
Good points are superb fuel economy as i do 36 miles a day going to my place of work and £6 of petrol usually lasts a week.
The large seat is not as comfy as other bikes ive been on, however, you get used to it.

Bad points
Servicing costs. As i do quite a few miles a week this bike needs regular servicing every 2500 miles, which i think is a joke. It costs less to service my car than what it costs to service this.

Problems which have came up is as follows :
The rear disc brake has been replaced twice because it has a habit of warping. A new exhaust has been replaced whilst still under warranty as a bit fell off somewhere along the road.
The headlight bulb failed and i had to drill out the seized screws to access the bulb.

Apart from all that i think it is a phenomal bike to ride and i have taken a few `boy racers` at the lights.

Cougar Tyres 110-90-12 has anyone used these tyres. I had a nasty accident on bike because of this tyre lack of grip and can\'t fit to rim very well. Has anyone else had problems? If so please email me and let me know as I am persuing civil action against the bike shop and manufacturer email to alexanderwaldron@hotmail.co.uk
