Bought an rvf400 last summer just to try one out. They are amazing, the handling is awsome as well as the cornering and balance. It can embarass many a larger machine and turns many a head when parked.Give one a go you wont be sorry.

Bought an RVF400 in Repsol colours for my first bike. A proper head turner and handles like a dream. Big confidence giver and doing my first track day 3 weeks after buying it! Fantastic first bike, never want to change it.

I've had mine 2 1/2 years and taken if from 40,000kms to 84,000 with little drama that can be attributed to the bike. It used to hate the rain, and sometimes misfired or died altogether, but that disappeared after the first time I changed the plugs. The only failure due to a faulty part I've had is when the fuel tap diaphragm failed, but the HRC fuel tap mod sorted that one out. A broken fairing V-piece conspired to hole the radiator, and a faulty chain took out the chainguard and carbon exhaust one evening. I've also hit a deer, which is why the v-piece did the radiator in, and the bike is currently being fixed after white van man decided to crash into me a few weeks back. But then I'm jinxed anyway. So why do I keep riding this bike despite all of this? Well, it's been utterly mechanically reliable apart from the fuel tap incident - you can't blame the bike for a dodgy chain after all! The only relatively unusual consumable I've had to replace has been the front wheel bearings. It's got braided brake lines which give great braking, and the pads last forever and a day, it handles like nothing else I've ever ridden and the Scorpion can makes me grin every time I open the throttle in anger, even after all those kms. It starts first time, every time, and always does as it's told. The servicing isn't cheap, but the reliability is second to none.
All I need now is to stick the new yokes in and put some more tape on the fairing, and hopefully there'll be another 40,000 kms to come....

Can't ride big bikes due to a metal hip thanks to a blind car driver. So, a Rossi Rep CBR600 was not an option. I was thinking of a cheaper CBR/VFR till I saw this late RVF Rossi Rep. Was the most expensive in the shop. After the test ride I felt like I needed an Physio, but I just had to have it. Dont think i'll ever need anything else. Handles like on rails, more speed than I will ever use, get looks where ever I go. Even if I have to give up riding because of the hip, I can just listen to the noise of that lovely V4 engine. Only down side is wrist pain, oh and because of the colour, get so many flies & bees around it in the summer

Hi there, I am also an owner of an RVF400 - possibly the only 400 capable of doing UK to Greece trips. What I like about it is that it really likes bends ! I have not seen any other 400 like it. My sad story though is that on Jan 10th 2002 a drunk bastard ignored a red light and even though I am now ok (thanks to DAINESE!!) the whole front system of the bike is f**ked. You see, it is a gray import and in Greece the spares cost almost the amount of money for a new one. Just a word of advice to my fellow bikers. I know that you feel this orgasm when you drive - I do - but keep in mind that there could be a drunk f**k waiting for you on a junction. So take care people. If anybody can help me find cheap spares - be my guest.

An absolutely amazing bike. Handles so well and is amazingly reliable. I just wish Honda still produced them new. I'd buy a brand new one for the road, and keep mine for track days. Sound amazing too, when you put a race can on them.

The dogs danglies. Fool proof handling, the sweetest sound at full chat with a race pipe on, best 400 around. Having dropped down from gixer 750 at first felt slow but time and effort teaches you how to ride fast and proper and keep your licence
