Honda SES Dylan 125cc Sept '03 (53)

Brilliant scooter for around town, really nippy and cruises happily at about 65 on the open road. Really economical to run and plenty of space under the seat for a little bit of shopping. The bag hooks on the front are a brilliant idea to keep your bag upright. The helmet park under the seat i find difficult but that's probably me and my arthritic fingers.

The mirrors aren't great as they come but i've taken mine off and resited them so i can see through them better but again, that may just be me as i'm only little!

As a scooter, it's a great little workhorse, does everything it's supposed to do and costs so little to run. You don't get queues of cars behind you frustrated at the lack of speed like you do with a 50cc which makes for a less stressful ride.

It's quite nice looking, and the paint finish looks good. The lights are good which is unusual for a scooter and it's comfortable for longer journeys. I recently spent a whole day on it and got off feeling like i could happily have done more which is ace.

Overall, a great little scooter.

If you need a tool to get around town then this is the one. Italian design and Honda build quality make a great combination. The Dylan is often overlooked in favour of more "sexy" models, but it really is a great little bike. The handling is excellent for a scooter, and it gets better as the Dunlops warm up. The poky engine is a blast in the city and will easily cruise at 60mph + on the open road. My Dylan is starting to loosen up nicely after 6 months of ownership. It sips petrol and starts every time. The linked brakes may not suit everyone but I like them. It does take a bit of getting used to, but once you understand what is happening, you can use them to dodge and weave with complete confidence. The bike is well assembled and features a lot of quality components. The paint is nice and deep and looks like it will last well. The seat is comfortable and there's space for two if needed. I've fitted a City Touring screen from VE Spares (about
