KTM Duke 650cc 97/98 (R)
Overall Rating:
Review
OH MY GOD, what a bike!!

Just what you want from a Supermoto: light weight, smooth and instant delivery of power, great no-nonsense looks and its comfortable too.

All you have to do is look at the forks and the engine on these bikes to realise what you're getting for your money. The forks are vast; the engine is possibly one of the strongest singles i've ever seen with a piston the size of your fist (if not bigger). This bike is strong in every sense of the word.

The fun factor on these bikes is massive; you can drift the corners, get the front wheel up, whatever you want without having to really think of how to do it.

Should you buy one - Hell yes; even if it is just for a mid life crisis toy.

Performance is ... well its pretty bloomin good i'll tell you that. You have to ride the bike hard to get the most out of it, as it only really comes into its own above 4500 rpm. But when it does - oh my god - what a *ecking machine to go. So no dithering through the gears, just open the throttle and the fun will come.
