Fantastic bike - loved it from day one and sadly had to part with it after passing test.
Never failed me and would recommend to anyone happy to cruise along on the level.
Not the best bike for hills, but real value, comfort and reliability make it an excellent first choice and beyond. "The Governess"

Suzuki GN250

This is the third GN that I've owned.
I got my first after passing my test, the second was used as a runaround. I love them!
They are great fun and so easy to ride, and very cheap to buy, run and insure.
I have owned all sorts and types of bikes over the years - from a C90 to a GPZ1100 and for the sheer pleasure of riding, I would rate the GN highly.
Okay they are not very fast, but they are quite torquey, making back lanes a real joy.
Who says you need big cc's or spend big bucks to enjoy yourself on two wheels?

This is my first bike since passing my test. It is incredibly easy to ride and handle.
It is not too big so suitable for a lady or short man.
As a new rider the gauge that tells you what gear it is in was very helpful.
It happily does 60mph and is fine for local riding, commuting etc. Not sure I'd want to ride hundreds of miles on it though.

Awful bike. Awful handling, no power, slower than my old 100! Has not even got reliability going for it. The engine blew up on me, and the mechanic said it looked like someone had
\"nuked the spark plug\" (his words not mine). Comfy(ish) for long distance, but lack of wind protection and top end mean its not even a good distance tool. My dad says it looks good, but no way. Maybe from new it looked ok, better than say a CG125, but times have moved on. And the brakes? They make my old drum brakes feel like GP brakes! Buy one if you must, but there are better 250 bikes out there for the same or less money. And it sounds pants!

slow, unomfortable pile of shit. did 45 flat out, i got laughed at teribly, and to top it all off, it spat me off at 45 into a car so all in all not very pleased with it. it did take loads of wheelie abuse though. and good for rolling burnouts if you sit on the tank!! hehe

I bought this on a whim, but I had a reasonably good experience with it. It enjoyed a good stall at busy intersections (partially blocked fuel pipe), and i had trouble starting it in the mornings. I am not sure I would buy another, but it was pretty cheap and definitely fun (until i got hit by an SUV side-on)

This bike is fantastic! I have had mine for about a year now, and it still runs well. My uncle owned it before me, and he had it for 10 years, and the bike never let him down. The only problem with it, is the chrome does rust if not cleaned and looked after, and the exhaust does rot out. The good thing is that the replacements are not very expensive, for instance, a full stainless steel exhaust is
