Suzuki RV125 Vanvan
After riding my Vanvan with 3 other friends on an 800mile trip around the French/Italian/Swiss Alps I can say they are very comfortable, reliable and fun bikes to ride.
Ok they are not the quickest(I have bigger bikes too) but with the amount of speed camera's and rising fuel costs they are definately worth looking at.

Check out suzukivanvan.co.uk for more owners opinions of their vanvan's

The Suzuki RV125 or Van Van for its more popular name is a fun little 125 ideal for the older learner.
The bike itself gives the impression of having a much larger engine than it actually has and the only big give away that it is a 125 is usually the learner plates attached to it!
Being quite tall I was looking for a suitable bike to learn on and didn't fancy having to ride around on a small bike such as a Honda CBR which seems to use pram wheels instead of actual bike tires.
I was then shown a Van Van by my local dealer and was instantly impressed with the size of the bike.
It has a proud stature and easily stands out in a crowd. Mostly helped out by the fact that my own has a bright orange tank.
In terms of its technical ability, it will go. Just don't expect to get anywhere fast.
Due to it's larger form factor the 125 will struggle occasionally, making you have to play the gears alot more than usual. That said though, if you are only going to be using this for the daily commute then it is perfect as it has excellent fuel economy and is responsive at low speeds.
The brakes are adequate but you will find a combination of both front and back brakes to stop is pretty much always needed.
Overall it is a fun bike to learn on and will continue to serve as an excellent commute bike even when you have a full license.
