I am try too obtain a Work Shop Manual for the Cargiva Canyon 600 , year of manufactuer 1996. Can you advise where I might obtain one of these, I have the bike and would like to carry some work out on it. I note what you say about being non techinical but through your site I thought you might have a connection that would help in this instance Ivor

I had this bike when I was 17 and due to taking my test was able to de-restrict it fully. The bike itself was brilliant, I had 126mph out of it when on the motorway and after fiddling around with the sprocket teeth numbers there was no other bike in its class that could keep up. The only problems with the bike is that it does blow the main engine bearing when de restricted every few years and the insurance is quite pricey too. But for a fast bike thats light and able too lose bigger bikes and cars on corners, this is the one. I wouldn't recommend taking your test on this though as the turning lock is very little so trying to do u turn in the road nearly impossible without putting your feet down most the way.

Cagiva Raptor 650cc Sept '01 (51)

Picked my bike up last Sept with only 3500 miles. First impressions - In excellent condition, torquey, fast motorcycle, fitted with remus pipes - so louder than standard (I've owned over 40 bikes - so this one obviously impressed). Over next couple of months changed all fluids except front fork oil and fitted a genune raptor touring screen. Pulls equally well whether solo or two up. Compared to Jap bikes I've owned it's a revelation - great brakes and suspension set up .Now stored in garage awaiting decent weather to arrive - can't wait to use it for real. Seems to be very few 650 's around mainly 1000 models so worry over getting some parts if needed. Does anyone know of a good source of spares in the UK??

I've got a Cagiva Mito 50cc and it has beaten every RS50 and 125 I have seen. It has had almost everthing u can think of done to it n this means it is probably the quickest 50 u have seen (92mph). A few times I have gone n put rocket fuel in it 4 races n it reaches over a ton. I now know the Cagiva is no doubt better than Aprillia.

I've recently brought a mito and i've got to say it is a brilliant bike and there is only one problem that I've come across. The battery keeps draining its self. Having owned an RS125 I'm no stranger to problems. Apart from this im very happy with the Mito. It's the best 125 that I've owned and thats saying something as i've had five 125's cbr125, xtc 125, gpr125 and of course the rs125 So if anyone is planing on buying an rs125 don't it's not worth the headache belive me i know.

Phew, finally I can be heard. I'm a mechanic in Guyana, South America. Do you guys know we have Cagivas here too. I'm in search of a parts catalogue for the Cagiva Canyon 600. But for crying out loud, Andy Thompson said"importers take ages to get you parts". I am now discovering that they also take a life time to reply to a parts catalogue request. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME.

I've had a Cagiva Mito for 3 years and have done 3000km on it. If you want it I'll give u it for nothing as they are C###. It won't start and they are slow - 100mph is slow and they're not geared to go any faster, anyone who says otherwise is a liar. Get a real bike GSXR1000 make you look like your pedalling.

Still slow and it's fully derestrcited. Has a full Arrow exhaust system, K+N filter, new carb, slower than most peds with top speed about 50. There's something wrong and not sure what. It's not the engine. Either jets to big, or oil pump too rich. Carb being flooded with 120 main jet, or 130 main jet.

I have just bought a new Mito 05. Had it 3 weeks and the battery went knackered and the alternator was replaced and then it worked fine. A week later I managed to sieze the bike at 75mph and it is still fully restricted might I add. The dealer is trying to get out of a warranty claim.
