Whats the game with Cagiva at the moment? The Piaggio takeover is having some stupid effect on their distribution of parts. I've had to wait eleven weeks for a derestriction kit. Can any of you 'de-restricted' Mito owners tell me how much difference there is between restricted and de-restricted bikes. What is the Mito's cruising speed? I need to know as I ride long distances and don't want to push the engine.

ive been looking for a new bike for a while now and after owning a range of arse up nose down sports bikes i decided it was time for a change. i test rode one of these at a local dealer and fell in love! i could not fault it in any way other than there was a small crack on the right hand side plastic. this thing can party like the best. i was well pleased and will be seeing the bank manager!

Get my new wheels in 2 days time, just changed over from an RG125 R Gamma, which was fast, for a 1998 machine. Heard a lot about the Mito and cant wait to get it, hopefully it will have improved in reliability , c ya all later and safe riding

Greetings from down under, I have a 125 Mito 2001, now had it for 2 1/2 years, i did buy the Pollini 165 kit changed the carb arrow pipe make sure that u shave .005 of the head otherwise knocking and dammage. took it out to 39bhp then to 46bhp with carbon reeds and port work. Recommend this, dont waste ur money. I recently put a fully worked CR500 motor inside. Well can I just say this is Nice. Impressive responsive. Power wheelies in every gear 170kph punch the throttle and up she comes. There isn't much that will even come close. Be very careful leaving corners WARNING! wheel base is too short for the power and she ejects u right out o the seat. Heart in ya mouth. 109bhp wow! 2 months ago I entered it in a clubman race against RS125 and other 125 Mitos. I didnt let on it has a CR500 engine. I was very careful the first 4 laps and sat back got my tyres up to temp. Lap 4 I started to smile and laugh as i opened her up. Overtaking RS125 170kph down the straight there flat out almost, I slip past on the back wheel over taking 2 , 3 at a time , from the back of the field. Out of corners rear wheel slidin and spinin then back on the rear wheel crossed up one hand on the bars the other punchin the air with a No1. 278kph they clocked me down the straight, over the loud speaker i remember hearing 'this boy sure can ride'. I never hang around at the end of the race to collect my prize That i didnt diserve. I think to this day those RS125 boys will never forget that day and have probably sold em already and brought a mito. heheheheh On the road i let every one know shes a 125 only then in the mountains I stick it on its back wheel at 170-185kph and pass everything. I recommend the transplant it will really bring a smile not only to your face but absulute SHOCKED WHITE FACES to all others. Cheers Jim

Just got a new Mito, and i can say that i am not that impressed with it. Ok it looks good but for it being a new bike it aint that fast. I am going to get it derestricted and if that aint any good i am getting rid of it.

Effing gash!! The only words that can describe the Italian lump of excrement... i bought mine with the intention of running it into the ground.. that did not take long!! i had constant coolant leaks from poor engineering, the starter gave way, and the restricted perfomance leaves something to be desired. My opinion.. pass ur test and get a real bike... Mine rarely started (battery went flat after 6 turnovers), less than 40 mile to a gallon... supped 2stroke like nothing I've never seen. i ound the seating position very uncomfy, (back neck shoulders and wrist pain after 10 mins of town riding) although at 5'8" im a little too tall for a Mito, all in all.. Cagiva Mito = pants!!

I've had my Mito for about two months now and it's faster and handles better than any other 125cc on the road (especialy RS125s). I've had my knee down on a couple of occasions now but there seems to be one problem, Every time I look in my mirrors there's an RS125 there.
