I bought a 99 Cagiva Planet in yellow and blue which 2 date thankfully I have only seen one of online. So I think it's quite a rare colour scheme. It's an italian import so it has a working power valve ( i understand restricted ones have a plate partially blocking the exhaust outlet ) so it will hit a genuine 96 (160 kph) I'm not sure about the 0-60 time but it gives my brothers 1994 Astra GSI a run for it's money :) which he's not happy about. It has a six speed box and being derestricted it anhialates RS's and Mitos which is quite pleasing. They have the faster top end by 10mph but that doesn't matter cos I'm already over the horizon.. Plus the 7th gear adds very little, it only takes more time to get to 60 :) . The reason I'm writing this is because I'm about to do some mods and wanted to give you a before and after. I'm in the middle of getting the the engine bored out to 163cc which should take it to 115mph but i'm planning a smaller back sprocket to keep the top end around 100mph but it should get to 60 quicker which will not impress my brother :). The big-bore kit is avaliable on Ebay plus there is also a nice wavey disc i'm thinking about buying to improve the braking ( like it needs it ) . I can only imagine these mods will be restricted by the standard (huge for a 2 stroke) exhaust so I am trying to find someone to make a 1 off exhaust preferably with twin exhaust, and buy keeping the expansion chamber the same I hope i'll get away with it as I could loose to much compression and loose power. It's a bit of a gamble but i'll let you know if I pull it off, thanks for reading this post.

I have the mito / prima r 50cc, my mate has the 125 and he is selling it 4 a new car. He isnt asking much 4 what it is. Put it this way, I haven't ridden it but I have been on the back and it is f***ing quick - we had 120mph with 2 up. We weigh about 20 odd stone together so its quick

This bike is the fastest of all 125cc motorcyces by far. I have only had my Mito since the 18th of March and I love it. I have had a go on an RS125 and they are a flat piece of sh*t. Ok my Mito did go slow before I got it deristricted and it went from 15bhp to a 33bhp and my top speed is 120mph in 5th gear!!!!!!! I live on Guernsey in the Channel Islands and can't get into 6th. The 2004 mito is the fastest of all. Oh and the NSR is a heap too..

Got my Mito last July, since then done over 13,000kms and NOT had a single reliablity problem. After owning an RS50 this bike is very well built and handles excellently (though still not as much fun as the 50 as you're flat out everywhere on that hehe). It embarasses all bigger and smaller bikes on the corners and keeps up with most 400's and 250's if you've got the nerve! Had a top speed of 115mph+ chasing a CBR400. Beaten all RS125's I've come across but not by much as the 2 are VERY similar in performance and handling, though imo Mito has better handling... just! All other 125's aren't worth considering when compared to these 2 performance wise and looks wise. Currently under going a full respray after which it will be a Cagiva Performance Infostrada WSB rep :)

Had my mito for 6 months now, no problems thus far. I don't worry too much about the reliablity & really I think Cagiva would up the warranty period to 3 years (like Aprilia) if everyone knew that Mitos require a little bit of extra care. Aprilias aren't more reliable, except maybe the old Chesterfields its just that Aprilia are a bit nicer. I wouldn't buy an RS though as it looks like a bubble car thats lost two wheels.

I brought a Cagiva Mito 3 months ago and I've had nothing but trouble. I've sorted most of the problems out (touch wood) apart from a few. I cant find anywhere that sells standard exausts and I have an oil leak and cant find where its coming from. Plus leaking fork seals. Handles extremely well round corners and looks great (would not buy RS125 - they drink petrol and breaks down all the time). Cagiva more reliable though expensive in all aspects (thanks)
