Derbi GPR
This bike is the most reliable bike thats been in my family. My bro ran 80 miles flat out at 68mph red lining it.
It has two Known problems which are, the float in the carb doesn't work right somtimes and the wheel bearings arn't protected from weather.
Overall this Derbi GPR Racing is a very nice and reliable bike.

Very Quick Little bike, all that has been done on it is the exhaust was de-restricted and the rear sprocket was upgraded to a higher amount of teeth. it will do 64 Top end, it's been verified by riding a bigger bike side by side with it. it out accellerates my Honda Ca125 Rebel until the rebel changes gear lol. Dont know about reliability, seems good so far. electrics are a bit crap, starter is a bit poor, the fuel light is intermittant, and it tells you it's in neutral sometimes whilst ur in gear so you drop the clutch and end up stalling. it being a 2 stroke it has virtually no torque to it , and you have to rev it really high to get any power out of it, My advice would be go for a bigger 4 stroke engine than a small 2 stroke engine , reliability and comfort are increased

Hey, I just got a Derbi GPR50, and just put a 21m carb and MK exhaust and 50 and 14 sprokets on it. I've re-jetted the carb, what else can I do to make it go faster? I got this bike because I had a Motorhispania RX50, even though it was fast it was un-reliable.

Iv been riding my gpr50 all over the place for 2 months and all in all im pretty impressed.

The bike is derestricted and iv pushed it to 55mph. The one thing i would say about this bike is that it accelerates extremly well, faster than most of the 50's which allows you to get through the gears quickly to a comfortable cruising speed. The brakes are excellent and for a 50 the bike is actually quite reliable. Not only is the gpr50 one of the best performing 50s on the market but its arguably the best looking. Mine has often been interpreted as a 125 or even a 250 from a distance, its only when looking closer that you realise that its actually smaller than it looks.

Bad points....
the most obvious of these is comfort..
The seat is awful and after an hour and a half of cruising i have to stop and take a break. Also the gpr's tank is pretty shallow....and the reserve light is somewhat unreliable.

As far as a first bike goes i think the gpr50 is one of the best, extremly easy clutch, fairly reliable and looks amazing.

Got my derbi about 3 weeks ago. And i must say it is a great bike. Recently drilled out the oversized washer in the zorst, However! if u plan on being a derbi owner u've gotta have a lot of patience with them. first of when removing the fairings on my bike we could see that half of the bolts and washers on the the thing were put on backwards! and recently my CDI unit on my bike stopped working, probably due to water inside of it but it is always good to take it out and patch up any vunarable bits. When u first ride them and they only go 31mph, its quite depressing but as soon as you have it de-restricted and it revs much higher and reaches 60mph the fun starts. i plan on putting a new zorst on it and mabye a 21mm carb. Overall a great bike but keep it well looked after, or before you know it your bike will be corroding before your eyes lol.

My GPR is the Nuts. It does 85mph on a flat and over 90mph downhill, it only has an arrow exhaust on it and is re-jetted. When you hit 7,500rpm it takes off and accelerates very very quickly. It is a bit thirsty on fuel but with that performance who cares. Great bike and a real head turner!!! Easily the fastest 50 in my area!
