Hi, I have had my 2002 Derbi GPR50-r since summer 2005 and I am most pleased with it. I havent had any major problems with it only the rear shock that went, but I replaced that straight away. The only modification it has is a metra kit full race exhaust which shoots me to 70mph on a straight and I have over taken my m8 on his 125cc when he was doing 76mph down a hill. The power through the gears is good and I can get (50mph in 3rd gear), (60mph in 4th gear) and then (65mph in 5th gear before changing to 6th). I have on order a metra kit proformance air filter and an arrow race exhaust as the one i have is too loud and should only be used on tracks because it has no baffles or silencers.

I got my GPR thinking that I was the dogs b*****ks, which infact where I live in north london I am, until the TZR 50's come out to play.. I've had the bike for 3 weeks and planning on getting it deretricted, but the bikes reliability isn't any good as my starter motor went after a week and the warranty claims from Derbi take forever to come! Thanks for buying them Piaggio! Top end in 5th gear my bike can hit about 55 - 60mph restricted and I've bored a hole into the header pipe and taken out a washer connecting the header pipe to the silencer! Yhe best pipes for them are arrows without a doubt as this is my road legal one. I have a team Calamari 97 model YSR and they're amazing at brandshatch. Safe riding guys!

Best looking 50cc on the road. Put on a Gianlelli exhaust and had the jets done. Blown the motor and had to replace with a metric kit. Battery ran flat two weeks ago otherwise going well. Love the handling and top end. After the intitial run in it'll do about 55/60.

I got my bike for my 16th birthday and l fell in love with it .....well... it's a great lookin bike . Personaly I think its one of the best looking 50cc bikes around. Not sure if its fully de-restrected but goes 60-63mph . I haven't got a nee exhaust system or pipe yet . Which one is best to go for as theres a couple of makes but I don't know which one to get. Bad points: not very good acceleration but it might just be my bike, and I have 2 have the choke out all the time if I want to get the power out of it. Good points: nice styling, fast top speed, good brakes (but sometimes a bit 2 sharp) . Overall nice bike nice 2 ride and pops up easy as well.

I just got this as a 16th birthday present and it's amazing! It's got a race exhaust and it'll do about 75mph. I can't wait to pass my CBT, I'll ride it everywhere!!!

Well. a mint lookin bike but I've had the starter motor go wrong once which was replaced straight away under warranty. On the flat I rarely see above 55 mph and this is supposed 2 be fully de-restricted but I beleive it may not be. Certainly a gr8 lookin bike but performance disappointed me a bit.

Got the silver one bout 2 weeks ago, and in all its the absolute bees tits! It's first service is at 650 miles and therefore de-restriction soon after. So far, obviously I'm still running it in, but I've already got nearly 75 out of it! Thats at around 8,000rpm. I reckon it'll top 100 when its de-restricted and with the (smaller) rear sprocket on. Great looks, really good bright light, and wicked indicators. Defo recommend over RS or CBR125. Mito comes close though.

It is a wicked bike. I've only had it 2months and I've had a stage 3 dynotune from Stan Stephens and I've put a Leo Vince V6 racepipe on it. I've had 92mph out of it (Steve says - Mmm I don't believe that..). I recommend anyone who has got a GPR50 to go and get what I had done if you want speed!!!!!!!
