Absolutly gorgeous machine great for first bike. I got this one as a little bargain with only minor problems. The cam chain and a little crack in body work other than that shes a beauty, highly recommended

Had my Blackbird since 1997 and have never looked back. My bike has 97,000 on the clock and still runs with the best. Will have to wait and see what the new one is like before I change my XXV

I bought my CBR600FL in a sad and very neglected state with a view to using it as a winter hack and, perhaps, a Track Day bike which, if I binned it, it wouldn't matter. It had over 42,000 miles on the clock and really looked like it had done them the hard way. Over the winter, I went through the bike from front to rear, doing everything necessary to make it safe and reliable, with a view to getting rid at the end of this summer (2003). Since then, I have (to March 2003) completed over 2,000 road miles on it and recently done a Track Day at Mallory Park racetrack. Completing about 60+ laps, often at 9,000+ rpm this old CBR never batted an eyelid. I also own a '97 Honda VFR750 and a '99 Suzuki 600 Bandit, both of which I've had from new, the VFR I somehow feel I want to keep forever, the Bandit can go tomorrow but the CBR600?, it would take a crow-bar to prise it out of my hands. It must be one of the most reliable and rideable bikes in the world and I love it. See our website - www.mckenzie-thorpe.com/bikes for a few laughes and 'photos.

I absolutely love these bikes.
I am on my second one ,(first one was a carbed model).I now own an injection but must confess the carbed ones are faster pulling away, for some reason.
I have bought my girlfriend a carbed black one.
These are intercontinetal ballistic missiles and 185-187mph is definately enough for me.
It will tour all day ,commute and travel the world without missing a beat. Its a HONDA, remember?
How the heck can Honda improve on it? Maybe the brakes could be like the R1.
Forget Busas,or Kwaks, its QUALITY BUILD and RELIABILITY plus LOOKS that have seduced me and even today i stare at it and LOVE it ,always.
Get yourself one,its THAT simple.
My motto is; and then there is THE BLACKBIRD.

Good bike overall, you can run it flat out for weeks without damage. Ive had mine since june this year and its never had anything fail on me yet except the fact that it got stolen and then recovered with mirrors missin and damage done to the seat. I get a top speed of 87 roughly on the speedo down a hill. ON a straight il get about 82. Acceleration is good n fast or a 4 stroke. Gears r simple to usel. Clutch is good enough standard. Handles well even with a passenger on the back. The only bad thing honda did with the bike was,its maybe a bit to narrow, it can be good in some ways but most people who drive one would like to have it a bit wider like an rs125 or somthing similar. I bought a cbr125r back in june and have been wanting to buy an rs125 for a while but i got a cbr cheap and i had a look at an rs125 but then i realised that the sound coming out of it was so crap i thought nah nah il stick with the cbr, the cbr might not be as fast as an rs125 but sounds a thousand times better, the rs125 sounds like a moped, as the cbr sounds like a motorbike, lol. Emm the cbr could do with some wider tyres too i think, you can still get the knee down but dodgy on country roads where i live, lol.

This bike keeps going and going. It has been around the clock and put another 28,000KM on top. I ride it every day and it still outguns the bigger bikes in the tighter areas. A fantastic handling bike. Hardly any maintenance apart from fresh oil and filter every 6,000 KM plus usual tyres and chain. These bikes are awesome!
