I just bought it (GT250) and haven't gotten to ride it yet. I am waiting to go through my MSF course. I found on the internet that I can order the fairings for it(I just like the looks of it better) Do you know if the handle bars stay in the same position or if they get lowered like the R style?

Got my comet about 6 weeks ago, nice bike, runs well, handles good, only problem I can pick with the bike is that it is too slow. Does anyone know how to deristrict the engine, i have checked and can not find restrictor anywhere, brilliant first bike, would recomend one to any learners.

Just bought one. Very good indeed. A bit sluggish on the uptake but nippy when it gets going. Gear change lever not comfortable or big enough (maybe it's just my feet). If you're thinking about one, buy it. It will easily pass for a 400 at a fraction of the cost.

I am in progress of tuning up the bike. I work for a dirtbike shop. I am putting on a 26mm carborettor, a fully custom exhaust, I changed the intake to suck in more air, and I am going to mess with the internals of the head by porting it and whatever else the head mechanic wants to do to it.

Hyosung GV 125cc Sept '01 (51)

I purchased this bike in South Korea and I was definitely surprised by it's performance. The DOHC 125cc was smooth and quiet; unlike the Daelim counterpart. Hyosung ventured off into the DOHC V-twin expecting results and I am definitely feeling those results. No problems uphill even with my wife on the back. The chain guard could have been more extensive but that's my only complaint. I am definitely going to get a Hyosung when I get back to Canada.

Hyosung GT 250cc Sept '04 (54)

I just bought this bike new for $2000 (US) as a fuel saver. I could not be more impressed with a 250 in a land of 1100cc +! Everyone here is going for the rice burning crotch rockets. For NORMAL rides I can keep up with my brother (Suz. 1200 Bandit), father (BMW 1100R) and uncle (VROD). Now, open road I see tailights fading into the distance, but I can easily catch up when they stop at the fuel pump. Hyosung/ Alphasports are not well known in the US and I get plenty of scrunched forheads and inquisitive smiles as they admire that cute little red thing between my knees. I think Hysoung is going to give a good account of itself in the US.

The bikes good till the body falls from the engine! I've got 1 and the engine is great. The only problem is the jap/china whatever the f*k shell its built around just fell apart. Awful brakes, dodgy wiring, battery goes flat all the time. All in all utter bull

This is a great first bike and i would recommend hyosung to anybody, have removed air box for a deeper sound and a bit more response engine. I have heard fitting a bigger carb will give it more power and changing the front and rear sprockets about should get u to 70mph very fast indeed.
