Kawasaki ZX

Bought an 03 model and love it loads of power for road riding and moves smartly on the track. Hangs with everything else and can surprise the unwary. Great on fuel what's not to like?

An excellent motorcycle with plenty of pulling power from the start. The engine is really sound and it just hums all day and all night. If you are going to purchase one, then look for the E1. Slightly firm front end but like I said, plenty of power and bye bye GTi...

I purchased my Kawasaki ZX12R B2 about three weeks ago and have had a complete laugh just running her in! Here is a bike with so much usable power that you should never need to look elsewhere. At a standstill, the bike appears bulky and top heavy but it handles with excellent accuracy and once on the move, the size of the machine becomes smaller as you feed it through the next set of sweeping bends. The only gripe is a noticable vibration at 75mph in 6th and the width of the rear tyre.....it sticks to the road without fault but with a 200 section tyre on the back, picking up screws and nails off the road is more likely and happened to me within the first week of ownership!! Having now covered 650 miles, she is run in and during this fettling, I have tried to ride the ZX on a variety of roads. Motorways are obviously boring at the best of times, but with the protection from the fairing and the emense power at your disposal, long trips are a pleasure. Now to A & B-roads (my favourite's). A-roads are the perfect domain for this bike. It turns in well on smooth sweeping roads and gives excellent feedback and is reassuringly surefooted. On B Roads you do need to be more on the ball as this is an area where you need a smaller, more agile machine to cope with rapid direction changes. The ZX does handle better than I expected on the narrow winding (but brilliant) B roads of South East Wales. You just have to remember that you are aboard a missile capable of 186mph with alot of power waiting to spin the rear tyre!! Go for the bends at speed and you notice the longer wheelbase (than that found on R1's and the like) but provided you position yourself right and scrub off the necessary speed, you can shift at a great pace without breaking into too much of a sweat. Two up is no problem - I bought the missus a grabrail and she hasn't had a bad thing to say since!!! (The original strap supplied for passenger secruity is only for the brave!!) So, to sum up...its mental, fast, comfortable, sexy (in black & gold) and I love it to bits....plans of intercontinental trips are on the cards but the A & B roads are the places to be for me.

Beautiful bike. 2 owner, full arrows high rise exhaust and all the extras. Will never sell it. Most new bikes 2day do not have the character that the ZX7RR has. My mates have new R1s GSXR1 and my bike gets all the looks and comments

Bought ZX6R to replace my Thundercat which itself was an excellent bike. ZX6 is a touch quicker(not much) but the engine is more responsive througout. Handling is in a different league and looks far far better. Build not quite as good and the only real thing I don't like with the ZX6 is the gearbox - Naff. Overall, excellent bike with performance, handling and brakes to match any 600.

I own the damn thing now for a few years and everytime I get a big grin on my face when a recent supersports bike can't get me out of it's mirror. (Did I mention my Kawa is standard ??) Oh yeah , the first 30 metres they win but then.... thumbs up all the way. For the rest, it's stripped to a naked bike and I'll have it for a few years more I guess.

This bike is pretty darn amazing for a 600 class. I can ride it 400 miles in one strech and not get sore. Then I can go race a Gixxer 750 and have a good laugh when he asks what I've done to my bike (nothing). Its easy to ride, and very streetable, compared to the Gixxers and R series bikes, which seem to require more skill to ride fast. This bike gets the ladies, and its fast, light, and FUN!
