Had a call from the very lovely Radka Angel whom I met a few years ago at a Feisty Racing weekend in Anglesey.
She was commiserating with me over the loss of my beloved R6 (still can’t get over it – the new one is stunning but it’s just not the same).

Told her I had another bike and she suggested that we went for a ride out together.
Radka"How about it? We could nip through town and find some nice country roads."
Me"Fine but I doubt I’ll be able to stay with you."
Radka"I’m not fast, you’ll be fine."
Me"Not fast says the former courier queen and amateur racer."
Long pause.
"Yeah… fair point well made."

Sunday – Saturday
Using a Chunky Kit Kat as bait, I spent the week trying to lure in several fellow Digest writers (Ed never did confirm what our official title is other than it begins with a ‘T’ and rhymes with cat – or maybe that’s just what he calls me?)
(You could easily be called a ‘Ginger Nut’ – or even a ‘Midget Gem’ – and we’ve got the odd ‘Iced Fancy’ and a ‘Hob Nob’, but I don’t think we have any plain ‘DigestivesEd), into assisting with the careful placement of my mTrack tracker.
Nearly managed to hook Rod but like the previous two I’d contacted, he wimped out at the last minute… apparently had some trip to Italy already planned… yeah, right.
So, I rang the one person who I should have called first time: Mike from Russell Motors (Battersea).
"Are you really busy this weekend? Cos I need your help."
"Saturdays are our busiest day. It would be easier if you could bring it in any other time."
"No can do – but there’s a Chunky Kit Kat in it for you."
"See you Saturday then."
Muchos grassey-arse.

Turned up and dropped it in along with Kit Kat, however judging by the reaction I have a very sneaky suspicion that I might have given it to John, Mike’s identical twin brother.
However, a truly masterful result was achieved.
As for the outcome; I’ll leave the editor to tell you about that next month…

My Sidi’s have had it. The zips have bust, the Velcro don’t velc and the toe cap on the right boot is practically hanging off. (Courtesy of me heroically getting my toe down whilst on a track day – or so I thought. That was until I was told to stop riding like a numpty otherwise I was going to end up binning it)
They’re Black Rains' and I can only presume Sidi named them that 'cos they let the rain in and that’s the colour they dye my socks.
So I’m in the market for a new pair of boots.
Easier said than done as resources are tight and Ebay’s siren song is calling me with a pair of Christian Louboutins… (well posh designer – if in any doubt, ask your Missus).
Decisions decisions.
Louboutins it is – not only are they a fraction of their RRP (what a bargain!) but no one, and I mean no one, sells the Sidi B2 Goretex in a size 3, which appears to be the smallest size bike boot I can find other than ladies touring boots – and I’m sorry but style is everything and seeing as I’ve got a snazzy new set of wheels, I kinda need a smart pair of boots to match.
Hmmm… I wonder if I can get waterproof, toe-capped Louboutins?
