Manchester's Heaton Park to host free motorcycle show - (27/05/2009)

Classic, custom and modern motorbikes on show at A Bike In The Park 2009 - admission FREE!

If you have a passion for all things two wheels then Heaton Park in North Manchester is the place to be on July 12th 2009, when the very first A Bike In The Park event will be taking place.

Beautiful old BSAs, natty Nortons and tasty Triumphs will provide loads of interest for any fan of classic and vintage motorcycles. But the flavour is truly international, with many Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki and Suzuki classic bikes from the 70s and 80s on display, not forgetting the very best Ducati, MV Agusta, BMW and Moto Guzzi marques from mainland Europe.

The show is a new venture for the locally-based team, who organise the successful Manchester Motorcycle Show every January. Show Director Howard Cartledge can't wait to welcome riders of all ages to Heaton Park this summer;

"Everyone is keeping their fingers crossed that this summer will give us some sunshine, but whatever the weather, we have got a great line-up classic clubs, one-off machines, scooters, customs, choppers etc.

Plus the latest sportbikes and tourers from local dealers like Hunts Honda, Road & Racing and Manchester Ducati - best of all, we're not charging a penny for public admission, it's all free!"

The recession-busting event is sure to go down well with motorbike fans old and new, and those who want to sharpen up their riding skills will be able to arrange a free riding assessment with the Ridesafe Backsafe team.
