Aprilia RSV1000

I have been riding bikes for 25 years and have owned ridden and to my shame sometimes crashed a multitude of various types of motorcycle. Yet have not found any bike that gives back as much feel power and sheer grin factor as my 02 RSVR.
I rode it on the Cannonball run in '06 all round Europe with no discomfort, and had very little difficulty keeping up with and passsing {mainly on corners} other newer Jap bikes.
Why spend loads on the latest jap bike when the RSVR is still as good plus has Ohlins, Oz wheels, carbon fibre splashed around and attacts more attention at your local bike hangout than the latest pocket rocket.
Get an RSVR and have fun thrapping around the countryside.

Being the third owner of this bike, it runs pretty well and passed it's last MOT with flying colours. It is a nice ride I have to admit and I when it gets going it is smooth. I have had a couple of problems with it though, firstly the lights, we couldn't work out why the side lights weren't working but after fiddling with wires they seem to work ok (I just have to fiddle with the wiring every so often for them though) and then there's the battery. It drains so easily, which is annoying because I use my bike regularly. After using it for long distances a couple of times with the battery draining quickly I've decided that it's definitely for short distances/close to home trips.

I would like to write a small review on my first bike (CBR125), but I would like to start by asking a question: How good was your first bike?

The answer for me is - It was great! It was the fastest and best looking one of its kind and I am sure that everyone would agree that their first bike (the one that first made them think “This is what it is all about!”) was the same.

Now I have had a few bikes and a lot more miles under my belt, I would like to write a review on exactly what it was like.

I bought this bike from a local dealer (not going to say who), but overall it was quite good for a starter bike. A small single pop engine from Honda’s off road series, a small Fireblade style fairing/design and a small set of tyres is what you get for the price.

I am not going to go through the top speeds, 0-60’s, dry weights, etc… purely because it really is not necessary. This is a starting bike that works well. It was inspiring and made me want to explore what was down that road? Or what happens if I go this way?

Whilst owning this bike, I only had one problem with it, and that was the light switch was wired incorrectly causing the lights to not illuminate properly on the high beam filament. This was sorted out by the dealer under warranty. Other than that it was a very reliable bike.

Honda CBR125

This is the second bike I have owned, and it is amazing. for my 17th I wanted to move up to a 125, after looking around on the internet for days I stumbled across a second hand CBR in Repsol colours.
I arranged to go see it and fell in love with it immediately. I brounght it for £1700 which was a great bargain I thought.

my first time of riding the bike was great, up to my previous 2 stroke this 4 stroke bike was amazingly smooth, quiet and most importantly, fast.

Within a few days of riding it I was hitting corners at around 70Mph, and somehow getting my pegs to the ground, this bike somehow gives me the confidence to do some silly stuff. but i feel safe as it has such good braaking.

as the only one in my year to own a bike everyone was amazed at it, even i still can't believe its only a 125cc.

it has a top speed of 75Mph, however it is restricted, I think it will reach 100 when it is derestricted.

it is a great bike for anyone who is only on a CBT or just dosen't want to go too fast, it has a great riding position and is so much fun when hittin' corners. It has great acceleration and I highly recomend it for anyone who just wants to have a bit of fun.
