I HAVE NOT LONG TAKEN DELIVERY OF MY NC30. FOR A 400CC MACHINE THIS LITTLE BIKE HOLDS ITS OWN AGAINST THE BIGGER BIKES ESPECIALLY ROUND THE WINDING ROADS. AS FOR THE STRAIGHTS THERES NOTHING HOLDING IT BACK EITHER, 130-140 MPH IS QUITE EASILY REACHED (not that I've done that) FUEL ECONOMY IS GOOD TOO. THE LOOKS OF THIS OLD BIKE (15 years old) IS STILL UP TO TODAYS STANDARD. IT LOOKS GREAT AND SOUNDS GREAT TOO. WITH THE V4 ENGINE PUSHING AROUND 60 HP THIS BIKE IS IDEAL AND PLENTY FAST ENOUGH FOR A FIRST RIDER. THE RIDING POSITION IS OK, WOULDNT LIKE TO DO MANY MILES IN ONE GO AS THE WRISTS START TO ACHE. TO SUM UP MY VFR400R NC30 IN 1 WORD: GREAT, GET ONE YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED, CHEAP TO INSURE TOO.

I'm very pleased with my bike. Just started riding again after a long layoff. I'm finding that the bike does all I ask of it as I'm the restricting factor in the partnership. My 9 year old son loves riding pillion but my wifes not so keen. Can't think why!

Well, my VFR400 has been in the family 3 years now and I have came to own it. Repsol colours are just gorgeous! Got a full race system - I dont even know who its made by but its bloody loud, spits flames at 10,000 rpm and it howls! Keep on top of the mothers, watch out for reg/rec problems and fouled plugs. Open them up, use them and chase the boys round the twisties! and youll love it!

I got my NC30 on 3rd july 04 and its Friday the 9th today and f**king hell ive had fun on this bike. It does 65 MPH in first gear! and handles sooo well. I'm 19 and this bike pulls the chicks like there's no tomorow! I go out on it and arrive back home with pure adrenalin swishing around in my mouth. Trust me, this bike is SUPER SWEET! and sounds heavy (Viper can). I was lucky enough to pick mine up for

I've had this bike about 3 months now and its pretty dam good! I'm only 18 and passed me test not long ago so I had to have it restricted to 33bhp which makes it a bit slugish sometimes but yet it still got quite a bit of go in it! The restricter kit is an utter piss take tho as you're paying bout

Most bikes have a vunerable side. To most it depends if this is expensive. I have been using my VFR400 (NC24) for over a year, doing 400 miles/ week, to work. It is very reliable, and I am averaging 56 MPG. Flat out it will do about 127mph as per KM clock, and calibrated with a friend (CBX750). The problems with it are: (1) expensive consumables i.e. tyres, c+s, pads. (2) Access to the top end (valve adjustment) is time consuming and difficult ( even if you are a dwarf) (3) the rectifyer/regulator goes ( as with all(most) hondas of that era. look for a superdream or other classic replacement with fins. (4) The front forks are too weedy, and they need bulking, resist putting in air as the seals are quite weak. heavy fork oil is best. Overall this is one of the best all rounders, light, agile, economical, reliable. I took mine to France from Ireland I had so much faith in it despite 50K miles. Best bike for a budget biker climbing.

My VFR400 is a little gem. It's just phenomenal round corners and on the straights, providing you are in the right gear, it just flies.

My 'very old' VFR400-NC21 has a single headlamp unit and no upper or lower fairing and has upright handlebars. Imported from Japan. I bought it two year ago - rode it for 6 months until the mid section of the exhaust fell apart. After 3 months of searching I eventually obtained the parts required, a further 3 months later and it was finally fixed (engine removal was the only way to fit this motha). After a few tweaks here and there - suspension overhauls, caliper overhauls, etc. my bike is now in peak condition - apart from the fact that its missing a belly pan - if you know where I can get one I would be grateful.

I have had the bike for 7 months now and been very impressed with its reliability, handling, acceleration and of course looks. But Today has been very special I went round my local twisty road and got my knee down for the first time (my old trousers didnt have sliders so wasn't going to try before)and on my way to university with a tail wind I managed to hit 145 mph on a 400cc thats phenomenal (i think my bike may have a slight tune on it as its producing 63 bhp)< >< >P.S. if you ever need special parts try www.nc30club.co.uk or elliots motorcycles

Lovely bike. Just got it de-restricted. It was all I expected and more - It was made for tight turns and roundabouts. Can't fault it apart from perhaps slightly dodgy electrics, but its worth it for the ride! Just make sure u get a good 1 there are some shagged out ones around!
