Awesome little bike. 16" front takes a while to get used to, but then very pleased it has it as it drops in quicker than NC30's. Eats tyres, back about 2000 miles BT39's, but really sticky and never a worrying moment. Use mine to commute every day, 40 round trip, and is great for getting through the traffic as it is only a bit wider than a scooter. Comes to life about 10,000 rpm, but great fun trying to keep it up there. Great fun, cheap, and hones your road skills! Get one!

I am really exited about this bike. It was owned by two Honda mechanics, its a little scruffy but has only done 17k miles, there is nothing that needs fixing, just cosmetics. It has a redline rev booster and a gorgeous (rare?) HRC carbon fibre pipe. Perhaps they managed to source it from Honda UK I have no idea, I have not seen a silencer like that before. I intend to get it resprayed in original colours (red/white/blue) I will get a new screen at the same time, but at the moment I will just enjoy it as is. I have not got the bike yet but I have paid for it...

Bought this little beauty about a week ago (all I could afford) and now I'm glad!! It makes me grin like a little girl! (I'm a grown man) Only down sides so far are shat brakes and it seems to be restricted to 180kmh (which she gets to quick enough though) fantastic little machine. Anyone know how/where to get de-restricted??

I've owned bikes ranging from a DT50 to a Bandit 12 but this has to be the most fun of the lot. Many riders haven't tried 400's and seem to think they'll be underpowered slow things. Anyone who's ridden any of the import supersport 400's will disagree!! I've ridden the GSXR and ZXR(sp) fours and the NC30 is the best comprimise between outright speed and acceleration and reliability. Although many say the ZXR is the best handling 4 that only shows on the track, the NC30's V engine making a huge difference on the roads. It's quick, great handling (easy enough to get your knee down!) and stoppies with the best of them. Downsides include unreliable regulators, slow off the line without practice, (first gear is very tall so requires a lot of clutch slip but is good for around 60mph!) and it's small. Very small! I'm 6'1" and find it quite a squeeze but I am more used to a Bandit so others may not find it so cramped. Parts are easily enough to find now. (Many if not all) have been dropped. Expect to pay about 50-100 for a very slow speed drop (Indicators, mirrors etc) but fairing damage can be costly. Skidmarx do a good aftermarket fairing for around

Could someone help me please, I recently test rode a Honda VFR400 NC30, and I'm curious as to how the engine should sound. What I mean is the noise from the air box was really loud like a growl. Is this right? The faster I went the louder it got. The engine sounds ok when idling and I got the impression it didn't have an air filter fitted, is this normal?
