Hyosung RX 125cc Sept '04 (54)

This is a really good looking scrambler that is 100% reliable in any condition. Great handling and pullaway however lacks power on the open ground. I'm not sure if any one knows how to derestrict an XRX125 if they do please post a review although id still give this an 8/10.

Its an OK bike but ideal for the larger rider - I'm 6ft and theres no silly legs bent or standing up at junctions. Top speed I've had is 65 (70 if you red line it.) Good control and overall it looks good, if kept dry and polished, but the bodywork in my view could have done with more coats of paint (seems on mine I had a coat of primier and then one of paint) Parts in the uk are not easy found in scrap yards or from dealers and when found are not the cheapest. The bike is one of thoose that need to be looked after but wont let you down, has combo starting methods and mine will start first time ever time. So can't really complain too much.

Hyosung Comet 125cc Sept '04 (54)
Overall Rating:

Nice bike, looks a bit like SV650. Top gear a bit high as runs out of steam past 55. Easily redlines in lower gears. Only had it up to 65 flat out. Me - 6ft 2 and 15stone, titch may flog it to 75! Nice controls except mirrors. Nice big tank at 17 litres (about 4 gallons). Probably easier to ride for big person than CG125 or similar. Possibly a bit heavy at 150Kg, and could do with a centre stand. Not much stowage under seat (filled up with hefty chain and padlock!) Definitely fun and style for not much cash!

A what? I hear you say? a naked 125cc V twin with 8 valves and twin cams, looks similar to 600 Bandit. Made by Hyosung who are owned by Suzuki, owned now for 4 weeks and I'm very pleased bought the first one in to the country haven't seen any on any web pages yet.. Looks more like a 600 than a 125, still running in but expect around 80mph
