This is my first proper bike since passing my test 3 years ago.
Its not a bad little bike, great for round town and poeple who have a height issue like myself.
it can be a little temperamental in the cold but apart from that its a reliable little machine.
It's easy to work on and parts are usually easy to come by and fit.
the bike doesnt look like anything special but is tidy and quite sporty looking. Its quite cheap to run too and insurance isn't too high.
I'd recomend this bike for first time riders.

This a great bike good for the short rider. This bike has taken me to the TT five times. I have never had any problems, starts on the button and rides great'
I would tell anyone looking for a medium sized bike then this is it. I purchased mine brand new in 1993 and covered 30.000 miles hassle free. This is a great bike well worth the money

Kawasaki have just brought this model (EX500E9) over to the uk. It's got twin horns, twin front discs, sporty red&black paint job and loads of other little tweaks that really make it feel different to the older models.

I bought my red 1988 GPZ 500S back in July 1995 and still have it today. It has 78,500 Km's on the speedo, is in very good condition and is so reliable and good to ride I will probably keep it forever. Apart from normal servicing the only two problems I have ever had are the starter gear welds breaking and the carbie floats being replaced. In Australia there are very few 1988 GPZ 500S"s, I have only seen 2 others since I bought mine. One was a Black 1988 with no lower fairing at the dealer where I bought mine and the other a Blue/Silver twin exhust I saw a few years ago.

Had for 6 months now and it is the fastest 500 I have ever ridden. I have a K&n fitted and it will do 140mph on the clock. Have had some problems with the carbs keep freezing but am getting new ones with water heater. All in all a very fast and cheep bike
