I swapped a suzuki bandit(1997) for a rf900(1995)thought i had got a good deal. The rf900 was accident damaged, but was not declared and was patched up.When i was changing the plugs i found a crack running behind the vin plate,on further inspection i found it to be all body filler around that section .I now have completely rebuilt the rf900 to the tune of £1650 and now handles like a dream just a bit on the heavy side though. It still keeps up with the ninjas(636)and cbrs

Bought the bike 2 years ago. never heard of an RF until then. 33K on the clock. Recently had front forks serviced as leaking. Good power, nice bike. watch out air covers dont come lose as they will fly off. Midnight black with purple rims. 180 size tyre on the back.

Had my RF three weeks and what a machine! I I had a YZF750R B4 that was fun but only if you like to ride on the edge. The RF900R fitted my riding style like a glove, I can tootle around town then wind it on through the twisties, I felt at home on my first ride and finally came home after 7hours and 350 + miles. These are awsome bikes if in doubt try one no disapointment to be had. People say they\'re heavy but my opinion is they\'re not and unless you\'re scratching every corner and getting your knee down weight doesn\'t matter (unless you drop it and have to pick it up on you\'re own)

Swapped Suzuki Bandit 600 R reg for a Suzuki RF900R on M reg. Best swap i have ever made.It is comfy to ride, handles well, goes fast (155mph plus) and is quite cheap to insure. It needs a respray, due to prev owner dropping it.I would like to respray it but cannot find a picture of a purple and silver one.(help)

I inherited this bike from my son after he took it around Europe with his g/f on the back and then went off to Oz with her. He loved it. I know why now that I have myself been riding it for some time. "Likes to be revved" he said. It does indeed prefer being treated more almost like a 2 stroke. Plenty of OOMPH. Vastly under-rated. I am almost tempted to buy a second!

I have owned my S reg RF900 since the summer of 2002 after a couple of years on a DR650 import.
From the moment I saw it I had to have it. It is a great bike, sometimes better with pillion! A micron Titanium exhaust vastly improve the engine over the old standard exhaust. Left a few bikers behind on this beast and have seen 165mph a couple of years ago on the clock. I think its a really under rated bike, looks great in black and red.

Awesome bike, turns as you put your ears on tarmac, dynojetted, KN, Kerker can and rohm timing. Aeronautic brake hoses and some more stuff such as rearsets It's important to have carbs syncronized. Just put a device on fuel hose, which heps gas' expansion in chamber. VERY nice bike. It's still n.1 among my nowadays bikes.
