The early GSXR750 was brutal, its the only word that describes how it really is! The handling was appaling compared to new stuff but if you had faith it could be made to do some amazing things, I caught a ZX6r down a twisty road, and out ran a 2000 CBR6 along a dual carriageway. The CV carbs from an early 1100 go on but need rejetting and an adjustment to the original needles but are well worth the effort. with a pair of high lift cams found in a breakers and a Race exhaust I managed 11.7 seconds down the 1/4 mile! For people on a limited budget as I was, don't write off early stuff, it will teach you to ride properly and has a character all of its own. Go on try one! (Jetting info supplied to those interested!)

Borrowed this bike from the Missus for a couple of days while my R1 was being serviced. So much more fun than the Yam it screams and scratches. Its fun, fun, fun, no need to ease off before bends just pin it. Its like it's on rails !!!!!! Crazy machine makes you grin like a cheeky child and good for a healthy licence too,try one they are funny as ***k !

I had one of these and I absolutely loved it. It was twitchy, raw, and had a real desire to get on and ride the wheels off it. Even though it was 18 years since I last rode it, Id do anything to get on one and ride a bike with real character, something which is missing in so many of the modern machines. Dont get me wrong, I love modern bikes, but for the money these are amazing fun!!!

I have recently purchased a 1988 GSX-R 400...what an amazingly quick little bike! I am having a bit of a problem finding parts here in Canada for it. Nobody seems to know anything about them. It was sitting in someones garage for 10 years covered up, and I was able to snag it real cheap, with only 9000kms on it! It has had some changes made to it, but for the most part, it's in amazing shape! I am curious if there are many other 400's like it here in Canada. Feel free to email me with any information you may have.

had my gixer for 2 yrears, this is the holy grail of sports bikes , the sound is awesome with standerd pipe if you get it to 6000 revs , go to 12000 and its insane. this is the best handling sports bike and is really forgiving if you end up too quick into a corner. if you dont like this bike , you dont deserve it , it truly is an icon , .

k2 600 purchased new after 1 year had to strip down due to salt corosion, so what the hell. 1 year later now changed to yoshi race system power commander radial front master new brake lines slipper clutch k3 750 swing arm (has sharpened the handling and now turns in much quicker) k3 1000 rear shock dropped the forks down by 3mm, k&n air filter under tray, double buble screen, now done 9000 miles and what a scream (smile on face every time) wouldnt swap it for the world. This bike beats most other bikes on the road
