I've owned my SV for just over 2 years now and not had any real problems to worry about. The only things I have encountered is cutting out when wet (think this is solved by fitting a front fender extender, although this solution mainly works for the earlier models I hear) and gear selection issues occasionally, although think this could be to do with the inner parts of the clutch assembly.
Apart from that, a great bike, great looks, handling, brakes and superb value for money. In fact mine is almost worth what I paid 2 years ago and that was from a dealer!!
Get yer dosh and go out and buy one !!!

Brilliant V twin based on the old TL1000 but with better suspension and sorted fuel injection. Pulls like a train from tick over and makes beautiful music(with aftermarket pipes) all the way to the red line.
I've had mine (the unfaired version) for four months, having exchanged a ZX9R E1 Kawasaki. I am delighted, I've added a pair of loud cans, a tinted screen, bellypan and some bar shields.
The tank range is about 120miles to when the low fuel light comes on then about another 20ish(this has not been fully tested!!)
It is no match for the modern superbike on a track day but for the roads and the real world it will take some beating Fully recommended.

After coming from a BMW 650 i was initially put off by the sportier riding position but this only took about a day to get used to. I have the full fairing model which is well worth getting It looks great and i get almost too much attention form passers by. It looks far sportier than it is. Sounds great with an aftermarket exhaust. Build quality seems solid.

Suzuki SV650

Fantastic all rounder bike for riers of all ages.
Handles well, great top speed and a comfortable riding position. As it is a v-twin it sounds great and pulls away quickly with loads of tourque.
As well as the SV650 being a nippy, all rounder 650 it has sharp and attractive good looks.

Suzuki SV650
Suzuki SV650 Sport. Sports bike. Faired. V engined. 650. Ronseal bike. Does what it says on the tin.

Everything works, barring perhaps the visual appearance of the rear LED lights, which seem to have landed from another styling planet, but that's subjective. Sporty, but not very, position. Handles well, but not drastically. Pulls well, but actually seems happier as an autobahn basher where protection is pretty good, nothing seems too over-worked and all the component parts seem happy to keep up. V-twin engine may not be to everyone's liking: it never sounds like it's really going anywhere in a hurry, it doesn't have enough cubes to have a really useful midrange, and off throttle it snatches at the rear wheel like an anchor crying "slipper clutch" please. But that isn't the point. Yes, it's slightly crude, slightly vibey, but just look at what it costs, or rather doesn't cost!

Big kicks per buck. Free restriction. A perfect first big(ish) sporty(ish) bike?

These really are superb bikes. Enough to satisfy hardened bikers and user friendly enough for newbies.
Luvverly punchy V-twin engine throbs out great lumps of power in a georgeous way.
A truly sorted package which delivers sweet handling, characterfull engine and powerfull brakes.
You will not be dissappointed, though I am as I've got to sell mine..too many kids to feed.!
Get one and enjoy.!

Brilliant bike! Its fast enough, handles and stops well and sounds awesome with a Scorpion race can!
Rides superb with lashings of torque, good for both commuting and a bit of scratching!
Only down sides.. finish needs a lot of TLC to keep it good and wind blast at high speed.A brilliant all round package.

Great bike for learners and hooligans alike. I dream of a KTM Superduke and believe this is the closest you can get with a tiny budget. Just add some tiny mod's- new pads, hoses, tail tidy and Renthals and you have a sweet all round hack for track, commuting and even long distance riding. BUY ONE!

Ive had mine for over a year now and apart from the odd problem with the front cylinder it is an all round great bike. Cheap, cheerful and keeps up with the pack.

P.s. Keep an eye on your fuel level...
