Overall Rating:

Looks cheap and tacky, but top speed without de-restriction is 40mph and acceleration is top-notch, very economical (about 100mpg). Only

I bought this little moped in an auction new. AS SOON AS I WENT TO PICK IT UP THE NEXT WEEK the problems started. The mirrors were not included, the battery didnt have an acid kit, and there was a block in the oil. Apart from these problems it is not a bad bike it goes well and is cheap. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a first bike.

This is the best bike i have ever purchased, its good value for money and its a quality piece of kit. It is suprisingly fast for a 50cc model and the max speed i have had out of it is 61mph. This scooter also handles like a dream much better than my old Aprilia Sonic 50 and my Peugeot SF50. On average i get 121 miles to a full tank its amazing. Throwing this scooter into a technical set of bends is great fun to say the least. This scooter is at home on your average 30mph roads to your 60mph bending winding roads. An excellent piece of kit that Sym should be proud of.

The Sym Jet here in the Philippines are so popular because of its reliability and speed. Mine can go at 115kph. We have no problem on the spare parts. The parts are not that expensive. The only problem is the head lights are not that bright. But overall it is a good scooter.

Symmy's my best friend. She get's me through the traffic no problem. She's quite fast down hill head wind, but that's about it. I haven't had any problems in 8 months of riding her only the seat lock wouldn't turn (just needed lubing up) I don't know who invented the indicators, someone deaf as you can hear me at the round about 3 miles away from home. The lights are apauling, I cannot see a thing on a road with out street lights. Don't like all the stickers but they can soon be ripped off, but be carefull of the metallic coating. Apart from that she's great 4*'s.

Had my Jet 100 for 18 months now. Ain't the fastest thing around but is good enuf to keep in front of most tin boxes from the lights. Mine is in yella nd silva. Once the silly badges have been stripped off aint too bad looking. Ride all year, yeah the cold, wet times too. Only cost me 1 light bulb, a new rear tyre and 3 puncture repairs in 9000 miles. Handles ok but tends to "flex" a bit if pushed hard on roundabouts. The Duro rear tyre was replaced with a Bopper and want to get a bopper on the front too. Downer. Riding at night. The lights are truly shite! Lucky I been riding the roads in my vicinity 15 years. In a strange place mught be quicker to walk! Seriously, on a budget this is a GREAT little scoot and I have grown quite attached to mine.

I had a sym jet 50 for bout 5 months, nice bike, very fast for a 50cc scooter but acceleration is piss poor! handling was dreadful, since I sold it I wake up everyday and thank god that I got rid of it before it killed me and bought that beautiful Gilera DNA 50 that sits outside my house as we speak!
