Right from the word go, this scooter amazed me great handling, fast acceleration. Good looks
cornering a bit fast isnt a problem, just a quick tap on the yamaha cygnus's break lever and you have no worries.
The Scooter in genrall gets a A*
It really shows its money's worth when it comes to long hauls and long traffic waits (thats if filtering isnt available ;))
Its more than comfortable and a speedy little number.
Ive had no problem pulling away from the street hairdryers (50cc's :P)
And have found my self on many occasions taking the long way round just to have a bit more fun
the scooter is very very reliable and i personally having done 19.000 miles on it havent had any problems with it.
great for commuting or learner (:
overall
Excllent scooter highly reccomended

i love my beast, but on long journeys its not the most comfertable machine., i,ve had it for 6 yrs now and i cant stop getting a thrill from it.Cornering at 150kms is uncomfertable, strait line and high tailing it there is no other,in case of an emergency i would want max to get me there faster then light. and it does.

Wow what a bike! Fast, light, agile, economical with an ageless classical custom style with its slim front wheel and twin pipes. This bike will be a future classic in my humble opinion.I bought one today, 2002 with only 1260 miles on the clock and rode it the 200 or so miles home with a smile on my face. It was meant to be a winter bike incase i binned my 1500cc drifter on our diesel infected wet roads. No one told me the bike was this good. It cruised effortably at 75 mph on the motorway and it was so well planted on the road too which is rare for such a small bike. I will never sell this bike now, it just too good. Try one, you'll buy one!!!!

Yamaha TRX

It's like this; if this bike was Italian, the world would of raved about it and bought them in their hordes. As a package, this bike delivers. Not too exotic to not personalize, and not too much to do to make this bike an absolute gem. Practical, reliable, attractive, one of the best sounding bikes you'll ever hear, and handles beautifully. get a Laverda 750 twin, up it to 850, add a Ducati trellis frame, combine a well thought out Japanese design, and you have the TRX. At 190kgs without even trying to peel the weight off, it doesn't feel like an 850. In the tight, they will never embarrass you against the hperbikes. For me, and dare I say others, the TRX is a modern classic in an old fashion way. They ooze character, and they grow on you very quickly. most folk are reluctant to oart with them once the "bug" has bitten; and it will. I read a report where this person had 42 bikes in his life, and he rated the TRX as the bike to have. What more do you need in a bike? A motorcyclists motorcycle. A no brainer really. My TRX is here to stay, get your own! PS ; and Lara Croft had one LOL.

Yamaha Vity
125cc
Apr '09 (09)
Overall Rating:
Review
Had the Vity about a month and its everything you could ask for in a budget scooter and more.
Its a great urban tool and quite capable of longer journeys if you accept that 50mph is a reasonable cruising speed. 60mph is possible but depends on the conditions. It get away from thlights and junctions really well - do not confuse with the experience of 50cc scooters.
This scooter is very economical as others have said in reviews. However, I should point out that some of the claims of 125+ and 150 mpg I have seen I think on based on the fact that the odometer is recording kilometres NOT miles and some owners are blissfully unaware of thid fact. This wasn't pointed out by the dealer nor is it clear in the manual. I have tested mine against two other bikes and it is definitely calibrated in kilometres. Bearing in mind this alters the owners perception of the break in schedule and regularity or service, it is something that really should be put right or pointed out to every new owner. i estimate around 80mpg.
If you buy one you really won't go far wrong. I also own a 850 Yamaha TDM and a Vespa. Considered objectively, the Vity is every bit as good as the Vespa, about half the price and a lot less likely to get stolen.
I'm a fan of this unassuming little scooter.

Yamaha YBR

Review
This is my first motorbike after progressing on from a 50cc scooter. It is a great bike- unbelievably cheap to run (worst I've had from it is 130mpg). Very reliable, will do 65mph on the flat, acceleration is good- will beat most cars from the lights. Very comfortable to ride- nice riding position. The only disadvantages mine has is that it is extremely sluggish when cold (it's a strugle to keep up with traffic) and the choke is located on the engine, so if you want to adjust it when going along, you have to feel around under the seat. Overall though a great bike.
