My first bike for 15 long years, my wife found it and took me to see it, second hand 18 months old 3000 miles on the clock absolutely gorgeous not a scratch. I have had her for 5 trouble free years(the bike that is) nicely balanced, torque at every level, supremely comfortable, handles twisties with ease, cant wait for the summer - ponderosa here I come.

I've just bought a cat. It's my first proper bike and I'm blown away. Its something else, fast, achingly beautiful, comfortable and just well purrrfect (somebody had to say it !)

Bought my ace this summer. I have had a few bikes but this has an amazing mid range, hard to imagine anything with more grunt but I'm no expert. Fantastic machine. ps anyone know of decent track days in the northwest?

Well, mine's the red and white version and oh my god has it been tricked up.. Full Akrapovic racing all the way thru.. iridium double bubble screen.. billet six pots on frt... wavey discs back and frt... bigger sprocket on rear and a smaller on frt .. (what a difference that makes, giving it more grunt out the bends..) powder coated wheels.. carbon fibre covers on this and that lol.. and last of all the stage 3 tune kit with the k&n filters on it. It gives out about 155 bhp but to top it off a small shot of 50bhp with the NOS bottle attached.... and I wouldn't trade it in for the world. lol

I've had mine from new - and can't understand why it's not more popular! Only mods are an immobiliser and a Scott-Oiler. It's a superb tourer - very comfortable + nice looks (yet the mags all say it "...never caught the imagination"!?). I also suspect it's got as much power as most normal riders will ever be able to handle ...with great brakes. I tested an R6 and couldn't have driven more than 50 miles without going numb; I find my 'Cat as easy in London as it is on twisties. Highly recommended!

Bought it new in 1998. In the lat 5 years it's now covered 65k miles. Great bike - perfect for anything: Commuting, touring, racing, weekend blasts - I've even despatched on it! Problems: Suffers badly from carb icing in winter. Tape up some of the radiator to help this. Corrosion (especially in exhaust downpipes) if used in winter. Front sprocket nut prone to coming off (problem common to all FZR/YZF engines). Can mean an expensive engine rebuild if it strips the thread - which is why mine's off the road right now :-( Otherwise a bulletproof and fast machine.

I bought it last spring with 6700 miles on the clock with a full stainless Arrow race system and tuned by Slipstream racing to produce 149.7 hp at the back tyre. One tooth down on the cog, datatool evo alarm, datatag, carbon hugger, double bubble(a must), scottoiler(ditto), new bridgestone BT 010`s, Abus paddock stand, oxford monster chain and padlock, baglux fitted tank cover and tank bag, plus all the removed original parts, full YAMAHA Service history, one Mature owner from new who insisted on paying for a full service prior to me picking it up (nice guy), never dropped, always garaged and all for

I went and looked at one today, a YZF750R. I've had Yamahas for 12 years now, FJ, two FZR1000s, and found this 97 YZF to be the most beautiful bike I've ever seen. And the fact that you can snap in an FZR1000 engine, makes it sweeter still

I bought my CAT from a colleague at work last year. SHE was leaving and I was desperate to get back on two wheels. A bit of a girlies bike, I thought but it had never seen wet weather , only done 6K and was perfectly priced. A set of Bridgestone 010's and 1.5K later and I love it. Performance is ample for me , handling is great and the brakes are excellent as their reputation states. How about some noise from you other CAT lovers out there ?
